The Swindon Fairtrade Coalition is a voluntary group  formed in December 2001. The aim of the group is to work together to raise awareness of fair trade issues and to promote consumer demand for fairly traded products within the Borough.

Throughout the year, the Coalition gives talks to groups, provides information stalls at events and itself organises events to celebrate Fairtrade Fortnight and One World Week.

Currently the members of the Coalition are Christian Aid, Lower Shaw Farm, Swindon Borough Council, Swindon Churches Together, Swindon Friends of the Earth, Wiltshire Fairtrade Coalition, Wiltshire Wildlife Trust, Swindon World Development Movement.

The Coalition was instrumental in securing Fairtrade Borough  status for Swindon.
